This creates a huge relief for the smoker as it helps to stop the body from craving nicotine. When nicotine is inhaled, it attaches to receptors in the brain, which work as messengers to various parts of the body, telling them to release a chemical called dopamine. Dopamine gives a sensation of pleasure and relief, which the body wants to repeat over and over again. Based on research, it appears that CHAMPIX works by activating these receptors in the body and blocking nicotine from attaching to them. However, CHAMPIX pills do not contain nicotine.
